Volunteerism

The Island Lake Rowing Club functions successfully on the participation of all members and we are proud to be able to offer a wide variety of rowing programs.

All members are expected to contribute 20 hours of volunteer service and record them in the ILRC Volunteer Service Book at the boathouse.

Saturday Scull and Sweep

In order to make work parties less of a burden, we like to make sure we get a row in first. About once a month, members meet at 7:00 am on a Saturday morning for a row and afterwards put in a couple of hours of work on a specific task from the ToDo list.

Please watch for notices and emails requesting help for our work parties. Volunteers work tirelessly to ensure Island Lake is a great place to row! If we all ‘pull together’ it will lighten the load.
